Who are we? 🤝 Meet the Team

Andrew Flowers

Chief Economist at Appcast and the director of research at Recruitonomics.com based in Boston. Prior to joining Appcast in 2021, he was an economist for Indeed.com’s Hiring Lab. Before that, he was the quantitative editor at FiveThirtyEight.com. He began his career as an economic analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. He holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Chicago and a M.S in Applied Economics from Boston College.


Sam Kuhn

Economist at Appcast based in Boston. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Arizona State University and a M.S in Applied Economics from Boston College. He primarily researches and writes about long term trends within the labor market and how macroeconomic forces change these patterns.


Julius Probst

Senior Economist at Appcast based in the U.K. Before that, he was working as economist and application specialist at Macrobond Financial. He did his M. Sc. in Economics with a specialization in macroeconomics and his PhD in Economic History at Lund University in Sweden. During the PhD, he also worked as a researcher for the European Central Bank for half a year.


Steve Goodrick

Data Analyst at Appcast and Chief Editor of Recruitonomics.com, based in Upstate New York. Steve holds a Writing degree from James Madison University and regularly reports on the latest labor market developments for Appcast clients.
